Why We Built PlanOps
After years in construction, we saw the same problems everywhere: PMs drowning in paperwork, critical information buried in PDFs, expensive software that didn't deliver on its promises.

Ian Yeo brings over a decade of construction industry experience to PlanOps, having witnessed first-hand the productivity crisis facing project managers drowning in administrative burden.
After years across commercial and residential projects, Ian recognised a fundamental truth: while construction embraced BIM and digital design, project management stayed trapped in spreadsheets. PMs weren't struggling because they lacked tools-they were struggling because existing tools required them to do all the thinking.
"I saw brilliant PMs spending 5+ hours weekly updating systems, chasing RFIs, and compiling reports manually-despite having 'advanced' project management software," Ian explains.
Rather than accept this as inevitable, Ian asked a different question: what if construction project management software was built from the ground up with AI at its core, not bolted on as an afterthought?
